The Ambassador Platform (TAP) enables universities and colleges to provide digital insights into what the experience of being part of their institution is really like.
TAP wants to close the Insight Gap, a chasm between what an institution is really like and what prospects perceive it to be like. In a world where many experiences like open days have gone remote, TAP provides an authentic experience for new prospective students, as well as providing opportunities for current students to represent their university and earn some money at the same time.
The TAP platform allows prospects to engage directly with ambassadors through conversations and user-generated content. TAP currently works with over 100 higher education institutions and organisations globally. The platform allows universities to recruit more best-fit students as well as help students.

Everyone's so supportive, there are no divas in the company!! I think this filters from the top down, as the management are super friendly and open with the rest of the team. There is a really nice culture at TAP, where people shout out about their own - and their colleagues' - successes. I like the Monday standup meetings for example when each team says who their 'champion' was for the week previously. It's a really nice way to thank someone for their contributions, and get everyone excited and fired up for the week ahead. The people make this company a really special place to work :-)

Sometimes it can be really busy with all hands on deck, but we are a strong team and people rally around to get things done. Hard work is also recognised and appreciated. Everyone genuinely cares about the product and it shows in how willing people are to go above and beyond to make it a success. I really love this energy, and that the whole team is focussed on clear goals to improve the platform. We are working on something truly special, and this motivates the team to constantly innovate and keep working hard.

It doesn't matter whether you are a new person at the start of your career or one of the co-founders with the most amount experience working at TAP - everyone is valued, listened to, and able to share ideas/thoughts/feelings openly. I love this caring and considerate attitude, which is adopted by all from management down. There are also no silly questions, and talking random ideas through with colleagues and being creative is something that is encouraged. There are also structures in place to capture employee feedback regularly for example through scheduled basecamp messages requesting staff ideas. Also the HR team are lovely and quick to respond, and management meeting notes are shared openly so you know that feedback has been listened to and will be implemented. The open and responsive culture at TAP is really refreshing!

The company is very generous and acts rapidly to enhance your mental and physical wellbeing. We each have wellness bonuses twice per year as well as a decent amount of days off. This year I bought a great pair of boots and a coffee machine as I`m a coffee fan and I enjoy playing football.

Our company values are really important to us - we have a one hour interview dedicated to them as part of our recruitment process and our CEO meets with every new team member for one hour to showcase the history of TAP and our values and why they are important. Everyone is on the same page, and we regularly discuss our values in company meetings to ensure we are living them as best we can!

I joined TAP as a start up and we are now moving into scale up phase. As a relatively small team, there is always something to learn, and there are lots of great leaders within the company. I have had the opportunity to try several different roles at TAP to see where my skills are best suited and what my interests are. We also have several external advisors that are industry experts who are very willing to share their knowledge and do presentations to the team.
