The Good Us's mission is to help save the planet, one purchase at a time.
We are experiencing a fundamental shift in buying behaviours and in our overall economy. More and more people are becoming aware of the impact of their purchasing choices on the world and their health, and want to spend their money on products sold by purpose-driven brands, knowing that their money will support causes they believe in.
However, it is very difficult and time-consuming for these consumers to make good online purchasing decisions. There is no universal standard for sustainable fashion. Consumers are flooded by choice and most people don‘t have time to browse thousands of websites, research a myriad of ethical problems and demystify hundreds of sustainability certifications.
The Good Us is filling this gap by making it easy to avoid fast fashion and shop sustainably with its algorithm, developed in collaboration with University College London, that estimates the ecological impact of clothes. This means buyers can make the most sustainable purchase.
This is a powerful movement that is unlikely to slow down. The challenge for The Good Us in the coming years will be ensuring wide awareness and uptake in a market that has lots of options.
