The Luupe's mission is to champion and amplify diverse voices, and help brands and photographers seamlessly make great work together.
The Luupe is an online production marketplace looking to connect brands with a worldwide talent pool of diverse women and non-binary photographers. The idea is to help talent generate income and community, whilst offering brands access to authentic and representative visual content.
The Luupe has a number of potentially lucrative edges over adjacent companies like Canvera, Snappr, and SmartShoot. Firstly, The Luupe helps brands authentically and efficiently align their campaigns with increasing DEI efforts and expectations, which in advertising are particularly acute. Moreover, The Luupe founder Keren Sachs counts on a five year stint at Shutterstock’s premium stock photo site Offset, so she understands what companies need, and can help them meet these requirements without compromising on asset quality.
The Luupe also creates a market that is more collaborative than it is competitive. The Luupe’s digital magazine, for example, spotlights on-site talent, whilst also serving as a market portfolio for interested brands. Theirs is a new and forward-looking take on the production marketplace, and it will be interesting to watch how it develops.
