TheVentureCity is a global early stage venture platform focused on making the entrepreneurial ecosystem more diverse, grounded in data, and fairly funded.
Our take
Investment in startups has seen a drop since 2022 as firms tighten their purse strings due to inflation and economic stress. The focus for new companies when it comes to securing investment then is not on outward investor partner matching, but on self-reflection and analysis, ensuring that their business is scalable and sustainable enough to attract money. TheVentureCity focuses on product startups in the US, Europe, and Latin America but has also created its own Growth Scanner to help startups collate what areas they need to work on and prepare them for viable funding rounds.
Alongside TheVentureCity’s more traditional funding offers, this GrowthScanner puts the onus on the company, championing a more proactive mindset that will help them scale. This is especially important at a time when money is tight for many.
