Our take

Today, more and more people are buying clothes from big-name fast fashion companies, which leads to huge waste. Thought aims to solve this problem by designing easy-to-wear, sustainably sourced clothing.

The company is headed up by Rachel Kelly and John Snare, a veteran of Cotton On and Marks and Spencer. Thought's focus is on creating a "circular economy", and over the years they have invested extensively in expanding the range of materials they work with. This means that their website boasts an impressive range of looks and textiles compared to similar retailers, such as modal, bamboo, and Seacell, a material made from harvested seaweed.

Thought has been well served by their clear sustainability message, and their forward-facing designs. The company will have to continue to develop new materials and styles if they are to maintain their current growth.
