To ensure consistency, sequencing and compliance in a global environments
Clock drift, the phenomenon where a set clock and a reference clock slowly desynchronise, has been a longstanding problem for software and technology companies. It’s especially important to have synchronised times if working over several time zones or if the use of timestamps on media or recordings is important to the daily running of a business. Timebeat tackles this problem with its network and products.
Founded in 2020, Timebeat has built platforms and hardware that keep companies and organisations synchronised in their timekeeping. A particular draw is the variety of Timebeat’s Precision Time Protocol products, which can integrate into a variety of network setups. Its automation capabilities and connected app integrate monitoring and encryption into the product as well.
Though a small company at present, Timebeat has enjoyed grants from Innovate UK and has partnered with SwXtch.io, a cloud networking software company. The latter partnership exemplifies the variety of customers that Timebeat aims to snag, from SaaS cloud companies to fintech and stock traders.
