Our take
The demand for language speaking apps grows by the day, especially with the ease of accessing learning on your mobile. Language apps are now created with bitesize studying at the forefront of the education platforms making language learning accessible for customers' busy lives. Toko is an AI powered application teaching English specifically for learners in East Asia.
The capability of AI means that Toko can provide short, realistic chats for students which is most definitely where we expect the evolution of many language apps to be heading. Having the ability to practice real-world scenarios through conversational dialogue is a game changer for interactive language learning.
Being in its early stages, it’s impressive that Toko is already rated the third-best educational app in Taiwan’s App Store. Female founders Erica Du and Jennifer Liu believe that targeting this area of the world with an innovative language app could support increases in salaries. Backed by angel investors and top-tier Venture Capitalists there is a clear excitement for what Toko sets to do.
