The trading of stocks has historically been a financial instrument enjoyed only by financial experts, leaving most people with very limited investment opportunities. Whilst modern fintech innovations have facilitated access to stock markets from any smartphone, such apps usually charge unfair commission rates, provide limited investment markets, and hold minimum restrictions for purchases.
Trading 212 provides a commission-free trading and investment platform, allowing anyone to invest in whole or fractional stocks with as little as £1, without paying a commission for trades. The platform also offers investment tools for tax-free ISAs, CFDs, and commodities, whilst also providing a robo-investment feature and other investment management tools.
Whilst other platforms such as Robinhood and eToro offer fractional share purchasing and a variety of investment instruments, Trading 212 stands out with its unique offering of commission-free trading. Through this approach to financial accessibility, the company hopes to encourage people to invest in their financial future who previously did not have such opportunities.
