Our take
Trail is an operations management software focused on the hospitality sector with clients including Wagamamas, Bill's and Brewdog.
Competitors, such as Opsware, focus on food safety compliance, but Trail argues that it offers this and more. When integrated with ePOS, rotas and other systems, Trail becomes the central operational hub for the entire organisation.
The company has impressed clients by providing operational software that feels like a conventional app, helping companies to build employee habits instead of relying on audits.
Traditionally the company focused its efforts on mid market and enterprise customers, but product development has opened Trail up to all different sizes of customers, including independents and national chains.
