Trayde's mission is to be the go-to technology and supply chain partner for the UK's independent retailers, and help the UK high street experience a renaissance. To do this, Trayde's platform operates as a virtual, 24/7 trade show helping brands get more wholesale orders and retailers find new products for their stores.
Trayde was created in response to the problem small, independent brands have of getting onto retail shelves. The platform uses a success-based business model which means if they do not bring an order to the brand, Trayde does not charge. This is a different approach than traditional trade shows which charge a fixed fee for the space at a show amongst other costs. An expense many small businesses can’t afford.
There have been challenges posed to Trayde, in particular meeting the supply and demand from both sides of the business. However, they already work successfully with many clients, including a multi-award winning homeware brand, stocking their entire catalogue of 800+ units.
Considerable retail shopping is now taking place online, creating a favourable market climate for Trayde. This has resulted for the wealth of independent traders and businesses who have yet to break into the market, which presents a large client base for Trayde to access in the future.
