Our take

There is a rapidly growing appetite in both public and private sectors for tools to prevent climate change. A central tenet of these efforts are offset programs focused on reforestation and afforestation.

Treeapp makes tree-based offset projects accessible to consumers through its mobile app. However, instead of asking users for one-off donations or subscriptions, users ‘pay’ for their trees through daily engagement with brand sponsors.

The founders are now seeking to grow their business to achieve a million trees planted every day through quality projects. One of the biggest challenges with achieving that goal will be sourcing reputable projects that deliver carbon removal both permanently and at massive scale.

Worked as an Equity Fundraising Manager at Crowdcube before founding Treeapp. Previous to that, founded businesses in the services sector and the legal-tech space as well as completing a Masters in Management from London Business School.
