Our take

Tribal Credit aims to solve the problem faced by startups in emerging economies, with difficulties in opening business bank accounts and obtaining credit cards. In some markets, such as the Middle East and North Africa, it can take months to establish these vital financial services, halting businesses until the problem is solved. Tribal Credit enables small businesses to quickly set up the ability to make credit card payments and make cross-border payments.

With the global move to remote and hybrid working, spending on digital tools has increased and so by using Tribal’s services, small businesses can more easily keep control of card spendings, and reduce personal liability from using private cards for business purchases.

Where Tribal stands out is with its ease and speed of application. There is no requirement for personal or company credit history, online application is simple and approval is fast. Once approved, the business can instantly issue and use virtual credit cards.
