Skincare and beauty products can be confusing and misleading, and are often produced in unsustainable ways. Typology solves this problem by offering simple, stripped-back and sustainable beauty products.
Typology is headed up by MADE.COM founder Ning Li, which has allowed the company to create and maintain a high-profile since its launch. This has helped the brand to compete with similar brands, such as The Ordinary. Typology's products are genderless, vegan and made in France, all of which have added massively to its market appeal.
The company has made successful in-roads beyond France, notably into the UK and US, and glowing magazine reviews have allowed it to stand out as a fashionable alternative to traditional make-up brands. That said, it will have to expand its product range without sacrificing its quality of sustainability if it is to scale effectively.
