Our take
From infrared sensors to Bluetooth, the internet of things industry can be lucrative, especially if you power the technology behind it. UBIRCH was inspired by one of its co-founder’s light installations, which would light up a birch tree every time a Tweet was sent to his company profile. Since 2014, UBIRCH has been applying its cloud-based Proof Machine to cyber security for companies in the NFT and Web3 marketplaces, providing the infrastructure for the next generation of digital industries.
Working across data security, NFT trust, and identity verification, UBIRCH has received funding from leading German startup investors over the last decade.
Whilst it is partnered with leading companies such as Microsoft and Telekom Innovation Labs and has a growing presence in Europe, UBIRCH must keep up with competitors in Silicon Valley, which it might look to achieve by seeking investment from outside of the European continent.
