Our take
Ultramed is dedicated to enhancing the patient experience by creating innovative preoperative assessment programs. Founded by Dr. Paul Upton, who recognised inefficiencies in the healthcare system during his career.
Ultramed sets itself apart through its products, which combine clinical NHS executive experience with international design expertise. The main products include MyPrepOp (a program used in the preparation of a patient for an operation), UltraPrep (a preoperative program that assesses the patient's condition and helps healthcare professionals suggest pre-procedure tests) and MyOpd (a program used by hospital clinicians to decide whether patients need a remote or a face-to-face consultation).
With a focus on addressing critical healthcare challenges, Ultramed is committed to developing new solutions aimed at increasing healthcare system capacity, reducing patient backlogs, minimising wait times, cutting costs, and ultimately, enhancing the overall patient experience.
