Company mission

To create the tools to standardise and industrialise cell biology.

Our take

Scientists, some of the brightest minds around, spend far too much of their time doing repetitive, manual work, especially when it comes to growing cells in labs. It's slow, fiddly, and not really why anyone got into science in the first place. This kind of work makes it harder to discover new medicines, slows down breakthroughs, and becomes even more of a headache when trying to scale things up for real-world use.

And that's where Unicorn Biotechnologies comes in. They've created Emmet, a smart robotic system designed to take over the time-consuming parts of cell culture. Emmet handles complex tasks with speed, accuracy and (maybe best of all) it frees scientists from weekend shifts.

Unicorn isn't just here to build one fancy gadget either, they're building the future toolkit for biology. And with plans to expand internationally and develop even more advanced tools, the company is setting the stage for faster discoveries and more reliable results.
