To change the world into a safer, cleaner and healthier place for humans by using AI robots.
Warehouses, factories, supermarkets, and public spaces are often open 24/7, which leaves scant time for the cleaning necessary to keep those facilities safe and in good condition. United Robots, a London-based company, has developed a range of autonomous industrial robots that can automate the cleaning process even in the busiest facilities.
The company’s robots feature AI detection capabilities that allow them to work closely around humans, and they are designed for maximum efficiency in conserving water and detergents. This reduces the risk of operatives slipping (responsible for up to 30% of workplace accidents) and means that managers don’t need to close off areas or shift staff to allow for routine cleaning. According to early experiments, the technology yields savings of up to 85% compared to traditional methods.
Having tested its robots in industrial settings in Poland and raised a significant amount of venture capital, the company is preparing to launch its product in the UK and Germany, where staffing shortages often make it difficult for round-the-clock operations to hire human cleaners. It will be exciting to see this technology take off across Europe over the coming years.
