Unlock is on a mission to build a modern platform for remote team culture - all the stuff that makes work more than just work.

Our take

The Pandemic has catalysed a new era of remote work, with many employees now spread across the world only interacting through their screens. That’s created a real challenge for HR leaders who understand that socially connected teams are 2-3 times more productive than those that aren’t. Unlock is striving to meet this challenge.

The startup is attempting to deliver the cultural infrastructure for remote teams. Its platform synchronises all the social elements of a company’s culture in one space - from an interactive video venue to an entire activity marketplace filled with experiences from vetted virtual event creators from around the world.

Unlock is focused on expanding its portfolio of engaging activities through sourcing more event creators as well as constantly refining its product to drive deeper engagement and connections amongst remote teams.

A big challenge for Unlock will be continuously finding new and exciting ways to entertain remote teams led by engaging hosts. However, Unlock’s impressive team and rapidly growing insights about what delights remote teams mean it stands a good chance of executing on its ambitious vision.
