Our take

As the Managing Director of a successful crane hire firm, UpRate's CEO saw first-hand how difficult recruitment is in the construction industry and how lacking the sector is in terms of tech innovation. To solve this, he formed UpRate, which provides a modern, data-driven construction recruitment platform.

Through detailed worker profiles and automated workflows, UpRate helps contractors and agencies to recruit and manage a high-quality, skilled workforce. For workers, UpRate makes it much easier to find jobs that are close to home and a good fit for their experience and preferences.

Ultimately, UpRate instils more transparency on both sides of the construction hiring process and is providing innovative digital solutions to an industry that still operates with archaic manual processes. Building on the success of their jobs platform, UpRate is expanding into new product lines that will help their customers not only in recruiting new workers but also in managing their day-to-day workforce.
