Our take

Upsurance is a commercial insurance marketplace specialised in P&C mid-market policies. The company launched in 2020 and is the first platform focused on mid-market commercial insurance.

Upsurance distinguishes itself in the market through the ease of use of its service: Brokers and insurers specify their risk preference, the platform allows them to easily connect and complete the transaction within the platform. This strategy and its risk matching algorithm enables them to increases insurers' ROI up to 600%.

Upsurance is an early-stage start-up and its main priority is to prepare for the beta launch. The beta program participants will gain early access to various products and benefit from advantageous rates.

Over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry in the UK across distribution and underwriting. Previously founded Evolution Underwriting, which was exited to Arthur J Gallager in 2015.

Jaherul Alom

(Founding Engineer)

Expert in full stack software development across various industries. Previously worked at Carrott (B2C marketplace) where he developed the product and led the engineering teams.
