It goes hand in hand with a remote-first company, as there's naturally less visibility of staff. At VEED people are trusted to do their work, and also trusted to do it in whatever way they think is the best approach.

In spite of not seeing each other in an office every day (/almost ever), there is a strong internal culture. People take their work seriously, but not too seriously. There's always room for fun and banter.

The motivation to get work done is high at VEED! People feel a shared sense of ownership over the product (it's a company value as well) and we're excited to bring the product to new heights. As well as developing the product, people are motivated to maintain a good company culture.

I love that VEED is at a point where we can all contribute hugely to the direction of the company, there is so much scope to get your hands dirty and muck in - and we have a brilliant leadership team to push us forward and learn from.

One of our values is around making VEED and video editing accessible to everyone and that's a big thing for me, to work for a genuinely inclusive company. It's great that we value teachers making study decks as much as influencers hitting TikTok. And the fact that even my mum can use it means it's working!

Everyone at VEED is kind, chill and approachable which is so important for a remote space. We operate with kindness and this aligns with my personal values. We have offsites and meet ups where nobody has ever met IRL and within an hour it's like we're all old friends. I've never seen a culture like that before in the workplace so feel really lucky to be a part of it!

Genuinely async culture with lots of accommodating, and working around people's schedules and home lives. Many of the people across teams I work with are based in vastly different timezones and still remain productive, motivated and focused. Unlimited holidays also help as a great perk!

Creating an easy to use interface for creating and editing videos can be pretty challenging, which is why we've been heavily investing in integrating the latest and greatest AI tools and methods to help out our users. Some of the features we're working on are genuinely at forefront of technology and we've got a healthy user base to roll this out to so can see the impact of our efforts.

Literally one of our core values, but it's not just a wish or a statement. Lots of the people we've hired in the last year have been brought in for their ideas, thoughts and skills and it really feels like VEED allows a space for everyone to contribute with those assets.

VEED is growing super quickly. It's really fun to work on a creative product that millions of people use. To know that your work reaches people across the globe, helping them to be creative and make professional looking videos is exciting.
