As live and video media continue to dominate the social media landscape, brands have the opportunity to use watchable content to reach and engage new customers. VIOU supplies a social shopping platform for fashion brands to build communities of shoppers, by creating livestreams to target fashion-enthusiastic consumers.
VIOU was created for luxury brands and up-and-coming designers to display their shoppable pieces at the same time as interacting with their customer base. Through the app, users can create a cohesive personality – in the same way as on other social platforms – with eCommerce integrated into the livestreams. Consumers receive an immersive experience that allows them to interact with their favourite brands, as well as shop the livestreams directly.
Other platforms have already employed successful livestream shopping events, such as Poshmark hosting “Posh Parties”, but VIOU has taken the next step in dedicating its platform to these experiences. Acting at the intersection of trends in both social media and eCommerce, the company would seem to be in a good position to find success into the future.
