To provide deep, valuable and actionable insights into companies' supply chain sub-tiers.
Versed AI have developed a Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) technology that can text-mine millions of news articles, business reports and social media for relationships between organisations, companies, products, and people.
The information surfaces can be used to create vast knowledge networks in order to discover patterns and infer missing or unknown knowledge & supplier relationships. These networks have many useful applications and the team are currently focused on using them to automatically extract supply chain maps. In doing so, Versed AI’s customers can make better decisions and take meaningful action - improving their supply chain's resilience, environmental and ethical performance.
The company was spun out from the CTO's academic research at Cambridge University and is backed by Founders Factory, Innovate UK and the Royal Academy of Engineering.

It's hard to know when world events will cause problems for your supply chain when you don't know who supplies your suppliers or from where. It's exciting to be writing software that manipulates large datasets to expose those hidden relationships. Most big corporations will have a few on the ground auditors that scout their tier 1 suppliers. We have the potential to do a lot more than that and the impact for customers could be huge.

With a start up there's never a shortage of work and the higher ups know it so they're constantly on the look out for new talent. It's dynamic and fast paced (in the "it's fun" sense, not the recruiter code word sense for "overworked"). There's never a dull moment with constant learning, flexibility, and new responsibilities to be had. Plenty of personal development as you're not pigeon-holed into a highly-specialised role with no hope of escape.

At Versed.ai I'm not just a small cog in the machine. When I go the extra distance or perform well there is not only an immediate and noticeable impact but it doesn't go unappreciated. Normally in a company no-one outside of the tech side would notice what I do, not the case here.

Versed AI has grown tremendously since I arrived less than a year ago and is equally ambitious about its growth targets for 2022. The scaling of operations has been a challenging and rewarding problem, and has led to increased responsibility and personal growth.

As a fully remote company, we're able to be a lot more flexible with how and when we work. If my work isn't collaborative then it's entirely up to me to decide when I do it. We also have the option to meet in shared office spaces via FlowSpace if we need to.

Given the current state of global supply chains and the relevancy of our product, there's a real sense of 'seizing the moment' at Versed AI. This can be seen within every team at the company and was noticeable from the first day.
