Our take
While AI systems certainly have the potential to be at the centre of immense transformative progress, Vertebra AI has turned its focus to the potential risks and implications associated with the advancement of AI systems. The organisation conducts research to not only identify specific implications but to then move toward solutions that would improve AI reliability, transparency, and vitality.
The organisation has already made strides in the AI research community, hosting an event in conjunction with the Barrie Foundation to discuss AI implications, which included speakers from public and private sectors, including the National Research Council, the Ministry of Justice, and Carnegie Mellon University. Though young, Vertebra AI is building a strong reputation for itself, which will help propel the overall efficacy of its research.
