Alex and Shane work really well together, and bring unique but very complementary skills to the leadership team. Between them I feel that I understand exactly what the vision is, and where the priorities lie, which enables me to self-determine where I can best spend my time.

Every week we have an All-Hands meeting where everyone gets an overview of what each team has been up to, what has gone well or badly, and where we can help each other to clear a path if necessary. Everything that has happened during the week comes up during this meeting including things like finances, client relations, investment, and feature development. Previous places I've worked have kept these details among the management team for longer, preferring only to give out the good news.

From my very first day at Vitrue, I've felt empowered to run with my ideas and make them happen! Everyone is given the freedom and autonomy to shape their own roles and always trusted to get the work done. Support is always there if you need it though!

Everyone at Vitrue is just so lovely. I've only been here for a short amount of time and I already feel super settled because of how welcoming everyone has been. I was invited to a team meal before I started which was great, it showed that they are keen to get to know everyone on a personal level.

I absolutely love how diverse the team is. We have a 50:50 gender split which is pretty rare in a tech company! Everyone is super conscious of making sure we are inclusive in how we work.

I've learnt more in depth knowledge but also broadened my horizons working at Vitrue. I joined as a software engineer but have had the opportunity to get stuck into feature management, cyber security and setting up IT infrastructure and also get more involved with DevOps during my time here.

The great thing about working in a small but fast-growing company is how much you learn! There's always an opportunity to dip your toes in an area you wouldn't usually. Whether it's collaborating on projects or growing in your own role you'll always be learning! We also have a learning and development budget to use!
