At Volt, it is really possible to inspire change. I have the freedom to suggest any idea to my colleagues and the senior management team, with genuine consideration taken, often resulting in a new way of doing things for the company. It's really fulfilling.

I was in a comfortable job, performing well, but upon hearing about the direction of Volt from Tom Greenwood, our CEO, it was impossible to not want to be a part of. The company is on track to be a tech unicorn and I'm so excited about the journey that lies ahead.

I have enjoyed leading multiple projects that have challenged me in very different ways. It has given me exposure and insight on how to work with stakeholders at all levels. There's a new challenge everyday!

As a parent of two young children, flexible working is absolutely vital. Volt is brilliant about being able to work from home, and respects the fact that I need to be occasionally out to do school runs.

Working at the edge of technology in such a fast paced industry means that no two days are ever the same and my work is always interesting and challenging. From working on our expansion into Brazil to drafting terms for our new and exciting products, I am always required to be creative and use my legal skills in new and exciting ways.

The whole team is expected to contribute to the success of the organisation and our culture of "extreme ownership" means that each team member is given the opportunity and provided with confidence to contribute ideas and lead interesting projects.

We have space to be creative in our roles. We are still a start up and so every activity has a real impact on the future of the business which is really exciting.

Volt has genuine flexible working - in London I am in the office twice a week - Tuesday and Thursday and it's great fun to see the team. For the rest of my week I can work flexibly around my own schedule so I can focus on what is the biggest priority at the right time.
