Our take
The interconnected digital landscape of today has been augmented by the rapid speeds of fibreoptic broadband, which relies on the underground installation of large-scale fiber infrastructure. Whilst cities and towns across the UK have had such infrastructure installed across the last decade, rural locations are generally not covered, leaving them limited to traditional broadband speeds.
Voneus installs fibre optic and wireless broadband services across rural communities in England and Wales, installing the necessary infrastructure to offer full fibre and traditional wireless broadband services to small town and village populations.
Whilst the company will face significant competition from fibreoptic broadband giants such as Virgin Media, Voneus has recognised that such companies focus heavily on providing services to populous locations, leaving rural areas with limited internet access. Through its various internet package offerings, the company aims to democratise access to fast internet connection speeds to enhance the lives of rural communities in England and Wales.
