Company mission

To be a leading infrastructure provider powering Web 3.

Our take

Blockchain and Web 3.0 are gathering pace - but one of the many challenges they face is the lack of servers to host them. Centralised servers contradict the basic principles of blockchain and Web 3.0, so the demand for independent blockchain infrastructure is high - and growing. W3BCLOUD is a joint venture between computing, graphics, and visualisation tech company Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and blockchain software dev/product company ConsenSys. The aim is to create precisely that: a high-security, independent cloud-computing infrastructure serving multiple purposes in the blockchain space.

The venture brings together substantial experience across blockchain technologies, AI, the cloud, semiconductors, and datacentres. ConsenSys Founder Joe Lubin is additionally one of the original Ethereum co-founders, and the venture has received generous funding from AMD and a handful of UAE Family Offices. This means all the key ingredients are in place for this influential group of players to turn this blockchain infrastructure into a global reality. Plus, W3BCLOUD may have the agility, the funding, and the expertise to establish themselves in this major infrastructural space before other institutional players enter the ring.
