Company mission

To ensure sustainable lifestyles are accessible to all. Sustainability is not a luxury. Periods are not a luxury. We replace plastic-riddled disposable pads & tampons with the world's most comfortable and sustainable period underwear.

Our take

WUKA was born out of a stark realisation: the sheer amount of plastic waste generated by disposable period products. Traditional pads and tampons not only end up in landfills but may also contain harmful chemicals. Additionally, access to affordable and sustainable period products remains a challenge for many.

WUKA's solution is simple yet revolutionary, providing reusable, absorbent period underwear. The company's mission goes beyond just sustainability, aiming to empower women and girls by destigmatising periods and offering comfortable, accessible options. WUKA caters to diverse needs with a wide range of styles, sizes, and absorbencies, making them suitable for all flow types and body shapes.

Stocked with the likes of Superdrug and Wholefoods, WUKA has achieved BCorp status and made waves in 2023 when it was victorious in its years-long call of scrapping VAT on period pants. This win will be implemented in the 2024 budget and exemplifies the growing influence the company has on the period-wear sector.
