WalkUp allows people to book tables at some of the best restaurants in London. By using the app users can see how busy different restaurants are, can join the queue online and receive updates on the wait time. Over 20 million people have used WalkUp's app since the company was established.
The company differentiates itself through its AI-based technology that accurately predicts waiting time, thus facilitating queue management. Moreover, by using its booking solution restaurants can maximise the number of clients they can serve, thus increasing their revenue by up to 30%.
The company counts big restaurants among its clients, such as Padella, Nando's and Honest Burgers, and are working with brands across Europe. They have also expanded into helping manage retail queues. Further, its recent merger with Dojo, a payments provider, has provided a rapid scale up for WalkUp.
