Company mission

To make developing web apps easy and enjoyable, for novices and experts in web development alike.

Our take

Y-Combinator Winter 2021 graduate Wasp, is an open-source, simple language tool for building full-stack applications with less code, making it easier for developers to stitch together different groups of services into one full-stack web application.

The Wasp DSL’s configuration layer allows everything from frontend to backend to deployment, to be written in one unified concise language on top of whatever coding language developers are already using, enabling developers to continue to use modern web dev stacks such as React, Node.js, and Prisma.

The company is still in alpha, but following a successful seed round Wasp has been focusing on expanding its team, adding features, optimising tooling, and building up to beta, on its path toward a full 1.0 product version release.
