Our take

Weaveworks has created a set of open source tools for managing, monitoring and securing containers, the latest technology for developers and operations in the enterprise.

While Weaveworks isn’t the first company to offer a container management solution, key investor GV (formerly Google Ventures) is betting that they can be a leader in this rapidly growing space.

Weaveworks have announced a partnership with Intuit to create Argo Flux, a major open source project to drive GitOps application delivery for Kubernetes via an industry-wide community.

Their ongoing plan is to create a commercial product for companies who want more structure than the open-source product set provides. The next step is an integrated commercial offering, built from open source products, as well as a cloud service (currently in Beta).
