To address the lack of software health organizations could use to deliver patient-centered care.
Whilst working with healthcare organizations, ex-CEO and founder, Chase Hensel, found that many of those trying to build patient engagement struggle with problems around workflow organisation. As a remedy, Welkin Health provides software to healthcare practices that promises to guide teams to better care.
Founded in 2013, Welkin has had time to evolve its platform with the shifting demands of the healthcare industry. For instance, its automated CRM approach to care management and recent integration of eRX and labs has enabled it to become a replacement for the commonly employed, yet expensive and laborious, electronic healthcare systems. Instead, it offers an easy-to-use platform that customers can flexibly plug into their tech stack and make individual changes to suit their needs.
Welkin is in constant motion, utilizing funding to discover new, bold and smart solutions to the problems faced by the healthcare industry, particularly focusing in on easing the work-lives of clinical managers and end care teams. With a recent changeover of senior leadership, it will be interesting how Welkin moves forward.
