Our take

Founded on the notion that soda drinks had lost their allure, XOXO Soda is a prebiotic soft drink that’s low in sugar, all-natural, and strikingly branded. Coming in a range of classic and new flavours, the company is on a mission to change the face of soft drinks.

Whilst alcoholic beverages have seen something of a startup boom, the soft drink sector has been overlooked for quite some time. Big names have been dominating the space, and XOXO is set to become a major challenger with its social media-friendly branding and healthy ingredients. Plant-based fibre and natural flavours give XOXO a foothold in the prebiotic niche, an area of health that studies suggest is of foundational importance to both mental and physical health.

XOXO then has all the ingredients for a successful drinks startup. Its £4 million in seed funding will help to fuel its European expansion and brand awareness, and it's set to launch in two major UK retailers. European expansion is also on the cards.
