Our mission is to make privacy tech mainstream.
In recent years, online privacy has become a highly contentious topic. According to the United Nations, all humans have a "Right to Privacy in the Digital Age", and yet more of our information is ending up online than ever, from credit card purchase history and location data to private emails. Taking control of online data is paramount for many consumers, but until now there has been a big gap in the market in terms of tools for doing so.
Xayn wants to fix this. Their product is a fusion of a search engine, a discovery feed, and a mobile browser which focuses on privacy, personalisation and intuitive design. Aiming to be a rival to industry giants like Google and Bing, Xayn is battling in a tough market, but with its highly disruptive product it has great potential to carve out market share.
Of course, privacy-focused browsers are not a novel concept - look at US-based DuckDuckGo or France's Qwant for example - but historically these platforms have suffered from poor user experience and irrelevant search results. By combining privacy and workability, Xayn wants to achieve where its competitors have failed.
Following big recent funding, Xayn is now looking at expansion into the Asian market, as well as strengthening its hold in Europe.
