Yayzy's mission is to put climate action into the hands of over a billion people.
Yayzy was founded by a team of experienced software engineers and financial experts who all share a passion for sustainability. Yayzy gives users the means to track and offset the carbon footprint of their purchases in real-time with an aim of making sustainability a part of everyday decision-making.
Operating in the financial services sector puts Yayzy in competition with a wide range of fintech heavy hitters, but there are also a number of newer, greener competitors to consider. Green fintech companies include the likes of TreeCard, a debit card company that plants trees for every purchase that the user makes, and Aspiration, a US-based challenger bank.
Yayzy differentiates itself by integrating sustainability into every aspect of its users' day-to-day finances. The app calculates the environmental impact of users' purchases by connecting to bank accounts and helps users shift to low carbon options or offset their impact by contributing financially to projects such as forest protection.
The company has secured significant funding and it has managed to maintain a high profile. It is continuing to innovate and build useful products to make it easier for its users to reduce their impact on the environment.
