Company mission

To develop and build high-performing, scalable, distributed applications to make travelling more connected, convenient & trusted.

Our take

Technology has changed almost every aspect of the travel industry. This transformation has engendered a necessary revolution through which companies are now positioned to optimise travellers’ experiences using technology.

Berlin-based Yilu, a smart travel platform, was born out of the Lufthansa Group, one of the world’s largest airlines. The subsidiary company helps travel brands sell their products to travellers before and during their trips. It helps airlines and hotel chains add revenue streams by integrating third-party services for sale to customers.

Yilu is not alone and faces many competitors - including giants like Amadeus and Travelport, as well as smaller players like Travalaer - all of which have a near identical mission. Yilu, however, is especially well placed in the industry given its affinity to Lufthansa and the scale of this travel company, from which it receives both backing and notoriety.
