Zamna’s mission is to enable trusted identity data to flow freely, and securely through the travel ecosystem and beyond by verifying persistent, assured identities between different data sources.
Airports are expected to continue investing billions to improve passenger experiences. Zamna's solution allows airlines to verify a passenger’s identity documents, health and vaccine status using the ICAO’s existing standardised travel document - the passport. This empowers airlines to verify a passenger’s identity prior to arriving at an airport thus positively impacting both passenger experience and security and facilitation.
The company aims to facilitate seamless travel, allowing passengers to move through airports without their passport leaving their pockets, and making queues and mistaken identity a thing of the past. Zamna’s platform requires no new infrastructure for the airport or the airline, and sits within existing and emerging biometric platforms, data flows and front end applications.
In 2022, Zamna was selected to support the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) with a pilot programme designed to aid the air transport industry’s recovery from recent disruption. Zamna’s participation in this project is a testament to its innovative technology, which anchors all travel-related health data to a traveller’s passport. The data provided to Zamna has historically only been available to governments of the United Nations.
