Our take
The rise of decentralized finance (DeFi) has provided a means for financial services such as trading and lending to be accessible through transparent and open protocols, but existing platforms currently lack technical expertise. Ultimately, this has resulted in demand for an integrated financial system that provides the best of both DeFi and legacy tools or guidance.
Gro builds financial services that combine the open and transparent nature of DeFi services with the familiar landscape of legacy finance. The company provides two key services. A leveraged stablecoin yield optimizer named Vault, and a powered savings and deposit protection service named PWRD that aims to protect holders from loss whilst accessing DeFi yields.
The company has taken a unique approach to the DeFi market by recognizing that existing services lack technical expertise that covers both cutting-edge and traditional financial services. Ultimately, Gro aims to increase the accessibility of DeFi to traditional investors whilst protecting them from the risks and volatility associated with decentralized finance.
