Zippin's mission is to accelerate the world’s adoption of checkout-free stores.
142% employee growth in 12 months
Retailers are under pressure to deliver fast, frictionless experiences for consumers that can match an online shopping experience in speed and convenience. Zippin has developed an AI-powered checkout-free solution, enabling retailers to banish checkout lines and self-scanners, letting shoppers zip in and out with their purchases.
With a tap of a credit card to enter the store, shoppers can pick what they need and exit, without the hassle of waiting in checkout lines. Zippin's offering works even in locations with high foot traffic, such as stadiums and venues that offer a complex selection of products. It has more than 50 stores across the US and 10 internationally and has already served over half a million shoppers in just one of its stores.
The company's biggest competitor is Amazon; it was the first to open a checkout-free store in the UK, and now has 15 stores in London. Zippin's strength in the global market will be its ability to offer its technology through partnerships, enabling it to have a far wider reach to many retailers.
