Our take
Zzish’s gamified formative assessment engine, Quizalize, provides a fun and engaging way for teachers to collect real-time data on student progress in the classroom and gives teachers instant insight and personalised recommendations to help each student progress faster. Zzish Insights then aggregates this data for school leaders to give them daily insight into the progress of every class across a school, district or region. Zzish is also a platform for developers to create, distribute and monetise educational applications.
Its software has helped whole classes achieve 8-10% better test scores in end-of-year state exams, reduced dropout rates from further education courses and improved the performance of "students at risk".
Zzish is a Techstars accelerator graduate and was named by Google in their ‘top 10 growth startups’ for the inaugural EU Google Demo Day. Since 2020, its user acquisition rate has grown by 600% as the company has supported teachers and students by adapting to the changing needs of the educational industry.
