buywith's mission is to create multi-dimensional live shopping experiences that help brands capture high-value customers and shoppers discover precisely the products they need, empowering content creators worldwide.
Live commerce is the latest trend shaking up the world of eCommerce. Influencers and content creators host ‘shopping livestreams’ which combine instant purchasing of a featured product and audience participation through a chat function or reaction buttons. The channel is already huge in China with around $400 billion in sales in 2022.
buywith is bringing this opportunity to Western retailers through an easy-to-use, feature-rich platform. Some unique features of buywith are the “Shop With Me” screen-sharing component and the fact that it does not require an app download or code integration.
buywith intends to use raised capital to grow its sales, marketing and R&D teams across the globe. It is also working on a self-serve marketplace where brands can select the host for their livestream shopping sessions among a growing community of vetted content creators and influencers.
The toughest challenge for buywith will be competition from other venture-backed players in the space like Firework and Drip. Having said that, looking at China, Live Commerce has a lot of room for growth in North America and Europe so it could well be possible for many of these companies to thrive alongside each other.
