To evolutionize dental diagnostics.
The Charité - Europe’s largest university clinic - was founded to drive technological change in dentistry and incorporate the art of machine learning into the sector. DentalXrai was founded out of this in 2020, offering a platform that recognises pathologies and anatomical structures on dental and x-ray images.
The company have trained neural networks with thousands of dental x-ray images. This led to independently recognising previous provisions, including fillings and implants, as well as pathologies, like bone loss and apical lesions. Not only does the artificial intelligence help the dentists, but it creates coloured visualisations for the patients so anyone can understand their own state of health.
The company is focused on strengthening the rapid growth in Germany and Austria whilst continuing to penetrate international territories. The five-year plan is for DentalXrai to be available globally across the most important markets.
