Our take

Charities have been heavily impacted over the last few years. The cancellation of fundraising events, closure of charity shops and reduction of door-to-door activities has decreased charities ability to fundraise. Nevertheless, digital fundraising has grown and campaigns driven by celebrities or athletes have demonstrated how they can use their influence to create positive change.

Meanwhile, sports fans are looking for new ways to feel more engaged and invested in the performance of their team, especially since they are unable to attend the games because of the pandemic.

GoalGiving is a solution created by two sports fans that addresses these two topics. It combines the passion of fans who support their favourite players and teams with the difficult and costly task of fundraising for charities. Through its website, sport-teams or charities can create a campaign and will raise money among their fans with every goal or win, with the flexibility to cap donations.
