Last year I decided to do a big sports event that required lots of training, which usually meant working much more flexible hours to fit everything in.

I have two kids and iManage have been understanding of the home life balance. There is no such thing as clock watching. Sometimes I need to start work later and finish earlier so I can pick up kids. I can then work in the evening after the kids are in bed.

When I joined iManage I was one of 2, we have since grown to 5 in the EMEA team. I have been walked through the progression framework which has been developed out significantly since I started working at iManage. There is amazing growth for individuals and the organisation because the company and software is growing so fast.

IManage have adopted a great flexible working model over the last couple of years that gives me to fleixibility to work from home but also work come into the office when i need too (usually once a week). It's great to work at a company that continues to offer that flexibility.

The company and leadership has a very much employee first mindset! They have great benefits which support physical wellbeing but also care about your mental wellbeing too! They have also introduced 3 wellness days a year where the company is closed so you can get extra few days to focus on yourself.

I've been at iManage 4+ years now and my manager has always been really supportive. She makes sure she always has time during our 121 to focus on my career development and supporting me through some of my work decision and making me think outside the box! It actually feels like i'm working with a friend now instead of a manager which is great!

Our team is given freedom and independence in our architectural, language and framework decisions, meaning we have a lot of flexibility to work with new tech. The same applies to our ways of working, with teams encouraged to find a workflow which suits them to optimise everyone's developer experience in our day-to-day work.

I love the work that I do because every day is something new and exciting - every day affords the opportunity to further my learning into new and engaging areas of knowledge as my team and I tackle the challenging problems of implementing a cloud-native multi-tenant search application. I have a real sense of ownership over my work and I truly feel that my work matters to both the company and our customers.

IManage has given me great flexibility around childcare requirements and balancing mine and my partners wishes to both work. A lot of my senior colleagues have a family and really understand what the benefits are of being flexible with this.

We have a very established on-premise stack which is great for learning what matters to our customers, what they are doing with our product and to some extent why. While it is a bit old now, we also have a cutting-edge cloud stack which is great to learn new technology and ways of working like getting code deployed into live environments within minutes rather than months as is the case with our on-premise stack.

During any decision making meetings/process there are numerous inputs we need to consider (such as cost, supportability, etc) but everyone is willing to listen to and understand what my opinions are on the technical tradeoffs between different approaches despite their stance from other perspectives.
