To help every lender operate and scale efficiently.
60% employee growth in 12 months
Following the global financial crisis, traditional banks permanently retreated from lending to many businesses, particularly to small & medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Many non-bank lenders such as credit funds and P2P lenders have filled this financing gap. However, most of these lenders still use manual tools such as Microsoft Office, and borrowers send a jumble of documents in different formats. Data is not connected or centralised. Workflows are manual, offline & usually very time-consuming.
The result? These lenders are unable to scale – issuing more loans requires an army of expensive administrative staff, or massive investment in the development of their own tech stack, both of which are very expensive. Lenders are also unable to access the institutional funding they use to make the loans because these institutional funds require top-tier systems and a clear audit trail for data. Not only is this an issue for the lenders, but it poses a big problem for the economy as a whole.
This is where kennek comes in. They’ve created a vertically integrated SaaS that helps lenders to streamline and simplify their middle- and back-office operations, bringing together all the lending journey onto a single easy-to-use platform. With a growing demand for lending and credit investor SaaS platforms, the company are well set to success in this space.

Kennek is at a relatively early stage of its development which gives the team an opportunity to trade ideas to shape the company and its product in an exciting and meaningful way. Contributions from every team member are encouraged and valued and feed into the strong vision for the future.

At kennek, I've been given the opportunity to work across different areas of the business - everything from Product to Sales to Strategy. This has provided me with a unique insight on what makes a business tick, and has meant that there is a rarely a day where I feel I haven't tackled something new. As someone still relatively early in their career, I've found this particularly valuable.

At kennek, we're a fast-growing but still small team. This means that we need to be super efficient when it comes to how we spend our time - what I love about this is that I no longer spend my time on meaningless, "spin-the-wheels" tasks (which I often felt like I spent a lot of time on in my previous role at a big multi-national!) Everything I do feels like it has it a tangible impact on the business, and I feel like I'm really making a difference.

For me, one of kennek's greatest strengths is the management team. The three co-founders Thibault, Xavier & Edmund are all incredibly knowledgeable about the lending space, and passionate about working to revolutionise it through kennek. Their energy and vision is pretty infectious, and definitely contributes to the sense of working on something meaningful. Separately, I've also found the management team to be supportive - if I have an idea, or there is any area of the business I want to work on, they do their best to listen and responsive to my suggestion.
