Our take

Loveelectric.cars provides a scheme for employers to let their workers get electric vehicles for cheaper - much like a cycle to work scheme but for EVs. Employers need simply sign up for no cost, and their employees can access Loveelectric's marketplace of EV deals, encouraging them to look into going electric and reducing their carbon footprints.

By partnering with trusted car leasing companies, Loveelectric can provide a wide range of lower cost electric cars. With such choice, drivers need not even change their driving habits - another encouragement to consider an EV. The company also partners with Motorway and Hypervolt, to help its users sell their old car and save money on home-charging equipment respectively.

Since founding in 2021, the company has received over £1 million in seed funding, is BCorp Pending, and won the Scottish EDGE prize (a competition that identifies and supports Scotland’s start-ups). This goes a long way to showcasing the support for Loveelectric's proposition, which should only become more attractive as consumer habits turn toward the eco-concious.
