To change the fast fashion sector.
reverse.supply is hoping to shake up the fast fashion industry in a hope to reduce waste in an industry responsible for 10% of annual global carbon emissions. With second-hand clothing becoming increasingly popular amidst the growing realisation by consumers of the impact of fast fashion, reverse.supply is jumping into a much needed market with a fresh new idea.
reverse.supply aim to work with eCommerce brands to help improve their ecofootprint and reduce waste. The company hosts a platform where brands can create a profile and submit used items that are still in selling condition, but perhaps not to their full price standard. The system is simple: clothes are submitted, reverse.supply create the item description and an honest review of its condition, buyers purchase at a suggested price, and the money goes straight to the brand.
The company has seen multiple successful funding rounds despite still being in its infancy, suggesting that, although this market may feel fairly competitive with marketplaces like Depop and Vinted dominating, working with long established fast fashion brands to better their eco-friendliness is a really promising concept for reverse.supply.
