Our take
Large-scale farming is a necessity that supply chains across the world rely on, but there is no denying its potential negative impact on the environment. Farmers will own hundreds of cows that are grazing on the fields that they live in, and whilst it is necessary for the success of the farm's product, it is not sustainable and the farmland may not regenerate for further use.
Ruumi provides farmland regeneration tools, working with farmers and companies to help reduce farmland waste and offset carbon emissions. The company works with the idiosyncracies of different farming scenarios to develop bespoke solutions, whilst also offering white-label solutions such as its automated grazing management mobile app.
Automation and other technological solutions are becoming increasingly common on farms around the world, but Ruumi has found a unique gap in the market with its focus on farmland regeneration and reaching carbon neutrality. Through its team of experts, the company aims to help farming businesses reach their sustainability goals and preserve farmland for future use, without having to reduce the scale of their operations.
