Our take
Parisian-born Sismo is a blockchain company developing decentralised privacy systems for decentralised identity (DID) and Zero-Knowledge (ZK) technology. Using the Sismo Attestation Protocol, Web3 account owners can generate privacy-preserving attestations to help keep their accounts secure. These "ZK Badges" act as a Non Transferable Token that authorises the user to access their Web3 wallet.
With Web3 paving the way for a more democratised internet, Sismo is part of a wave of startups rethinking how privacy and identity authorisation works in the space. In the first quarter of 2023, it was named on Runa Capital's ROSS Index as one of the fastest-growing European open-source startups. This comes as no surprise, its founders have a history of hackathon successes and web development prowess, indicating that they can blend their web savviness and tech knowledge to build up Sismo at a fast pace.
